Intellectual Disability Professional

The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional's role involves providing support and guidance to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the approved method of practice set forth by the State of Idaho, Department of Health and Welfare, and adhering to relevant rules and regulations.
- Conducting regular face-to-face interactions with residential habilitation participants, documenting these interactions in written program coordination notes.
- Completing data collection reviews on THERAP each month and training staff on its use during orientation.
- Developing and revising behavioral intervention plans, participating in individual support planning, and coordinating participant needs with plan developers and targeted service coordinators.
- Attending ISP meetings, training staff on participant-specific needs, and revising and updating habilitation plans and PIPs as necessary.
- Monitoring THERAP information, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and coordinating participant schedules and staff assignments.
- Participating in in-service training, maintaining current CPR/1st Aid certification, and adhering to high standards of ethical conduct.
- Completing or obtaining age-appropriate functional assessments within 30 days of service initiation and fulfilling other duties as specified by the administrator or program manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Service field.
- Ability to pass a background check.
