About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician - Certified State-National, you'll be responsible for filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering telephone calls, and answering questions within specified limits. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and that our stores and facilities are running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the work schedule, checking equipment, and filling supplies as needed to prepare for duties.
  • Unpacking incoming supplies, moving totes, and putting items on appropriate shelves.
  • Cleaning shelving, checking inventory levels, and inspecting product for expiration dates.
  • Assisting customers and answering telephone calls.
  • Verifying identification of customers for products when required.
  • Completing the prescription filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.
  • Maintaining license certification and completing additional pharmacy training requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Meet state required minimum age.
  • Successfully complete background check and drug screening.
  • Be able to read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
  • Meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
  • Be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Meet the company performance standards for the job.
  • Agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
  • Have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shift or more depending upon business needs
  • Job cycles: continual max
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

We prefer candidates who have:

  • Completed and followed Lockout/Tagout training.
  • Completed and followed Confined Space training.
  • Completed Right-to-Know training.
  • Completed HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
  • Completed all additional pharmacy training requirements.
