Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Novant Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a vital role in delivering remarkable care to our patients by collaborating with our healthcare team to provide optimal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care
  • Manage and provide care in accordance with current policies and procedures
  • Participate in inventory management and maintain accurate records
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two pharmacy skills required (e.g., medication distribution, sterile compounding, medication listing activities)
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy required
  • PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC required
  • Additional skills required: basic math skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and basic technology skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of medication names, routes of administration, and adverse effects
  • Ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and verbal communication skills with other healthcare professionals
  • Experience with inventory management
