Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Florence, SC

Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and productivity within the production environment. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct video-based time studies and analyze work breakdown structures.
  • Execute line balancing studies utilizing Yamazumi charts to optimize workflow.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate experience in multi-model line balancing and level loading techniques.
  • Apply knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, Kaizen methodologies, and 5S practices.
  • Lead key projects aimed at improving quality, reducing costs, and increasing overall productivity.
  • Develop and refine operational documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
  • Identify and implement countermeasures to eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Create Current State Value Stream Maps (VSM) and assess the capacity of each production cell.
  • Analyze data gathered from the shop floor to perform capacity calculations and evaluate cell utilization.
  • Collect data for time studies and conduct Value-Added (VA), Non-Value-Added (NVA), and Required Non-Value-Added (RNVA) analysis.
  • Update VSMs for current states and design future state VSMs.
  • Manage materials and spearhead process improvement initiatives.
