New Story School is currently seeking a School-Based BCBA to foster a positive school environment and empower students to succeed by implementing effective behavioral strategies. Our approach emphasizes diversity, cultural competence, and multi-tiered support systems, all while complying with federal, state, and local educational regulations. This is a full-time position designed to provide essential classroom support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, serious Emotional Disturbance, or Developmental Delays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct observations and gather data for behavioral screenings and functional assessments to develop effective classroom and individualized behavioral strategies.
  • Monitor behavioral data trends, including incidents leading to disciplinary actions.
  • Utilize various assessment tools and collaborate with school staff to evaluate intervention effectiveness and student readiness for transitions.
  • Provide crisis intervention support as necessary.
  • Oversee the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) for students on your caseload.
  • Create brief behavior contracts for students receiving individualized support.
  • Develop tailored positive behavior support plans for students requiring intensive behavioral interventions.
  • Implement recommended behavioral strategies and train school staff to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation, including logs, assessments, intervention plans, and progress reports.
