We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. This role requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Create and deliver tailored instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as necessary.
- Support the development of students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
- Maintain comprehensive records of student performance and communicate regularly with families.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in California with a specialization in Special Education.
- Experience with students with special needs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with IEP development, special education regulations, and effective practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, educators, and families.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Compensation will be determined by the school district.
