Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Create and deliver tailored instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as necessary.
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student performance and communicate regularly with families.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in California with a specialization in Special Education.
  • Experience with students with special needs is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, special education regulations, and effective practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, educators, and families.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
