Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Government Affairs Specialist to join our team at WelbeHealth. As a key member of our Government Affairs team, you will play a critical role in developing and sustaining meaningful relationships with regulators, elected officials, and other influential stakeholders.

Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the WelbeHealth government affairs function for assigned geography, developing and implementing an effective engagement strategy that results in outstanding relationships with elected officials and administration staff. You will also oversee and leverage WelbeHealth contract staff, including lobbyists and consultants, to direct advocacy efforts and facilitate resolution of legislative and regulatory issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience engaging with state legislators, legislative and committee staff, and/or administrative appointees and staff. You will also need to have strong public policy writing experience and a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience
  • Strong public policy writing experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
  • Must reside in Oregon with the willingness to travel up to 10% based on business needs
