Role Summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is in search of a dedicated Access Center Coordinator to enhance our healthcare delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for physicians requiring hospital-related information or patient transfers.
  • Facilitate effective communication between admitting physicians and hospital personnel to guarantee optimal patient care.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and admissions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assign incoming patients to suitable units in collaboration with medical staff.
  • Direct inquiries to the appropriate medical professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations.
  • Document all incoming communications.
  • Assist in the transfer of patients as necessary.
  • Support electronic medical record (EMR) patient bed assignments.
