Job Summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist/POC Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of laboratory specimens, as well as maintaining the quality and integrity of our Point of Care (POC) testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, process, and analyze laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform all assigned testing in Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.
  • Troubleshoot analyzers and perform maintenance as needed.
  • Adhere to all laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Run proficiency samples as assigned.
  • Order and maintain POC supplies, equipment, and quality control reports.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff on training, use, and maintenance of POC analyzers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or equivalent Physical Science.
  • Current certification as MLS/CLS with an accrediting agency.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 2+ years of experience in the clinical laboratory.
