Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a key member of our agronomy solutions team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating and maintaining applicator equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals to crops in accordance with recommended guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain applicator equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of applied acres and maintain log books.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain pesticide applicator license.
  • Attend workshops and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest equipment and techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leader, including working nights, overtime, and weekends during busy season.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating large equipment and a Class A or B CDL is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanically inclined and able to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of ag pesticides.
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
  • Professional competence to safety.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position is that of a typical warehouse and distribution environment where the noise level is usually moderate to loud and occasionally very loud.
