Overview

SAIC is seeking a Senior Air Operations and Munitions Advisor to contribute to the efforts of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This position focuses on systems engineering, acquisition engineering leadership, and technical evaluation for Naval Aviation and Munitions Program advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage military expertise to establish technical documentation.
  • Assess the operational effectiveness of naval aviation systems.
  • Develop and oversee materials ensuring safe aircraft operation and upkeep.
  • Create instructional content for Department of Defense personnel.
  • Deliver subject matter expertise regarding aircraft and munitions systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Possession of a minimum Secret Security clearance.
  • A minimum of thirteen years of relevant experience along with an appropriate degree.
  • Familiarity with aircraft tactical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rank of O-4 or above.
  • Completion of a Navy Weapons School program.
  • Experience as a Weapons Tactics Instructor.

Additional Notes:

  • May necessitate qualification as a contract flight crewmember.
