Job Title: Cardiac Device Specialist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist 2 to join our team at WellStar Health System, Inc. in Marietta. As a Cardiac Device Specialist 2, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care by optimizing individual therapy delivered by the patient's cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care by assessing patient symptoms, analyzing heart rhythms, interrogating, and advanced reprogramming of CIED.
  • Work in partnership with the patient by assessing patient symptoms, analyzing heart rhythms, and providing education on the purpose and function of their device.
  • Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and device team to ensure alert thresholds and protocols remain current in the device clinic(s).
  • Manage CIED remote device transmission and remote monitoring download of data and transferring to EMR system.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year patient care experience with exposure to cardiac patients and cardiac rhythm interpretation (ECG or telemetry) required.
  • Minimum 1 year patient care experience with exposure to implantable cardiac devices and their programming and complex arrhythmia recognition preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • WCCC CIED Exam required annually.
