Position Overview:

  • An exceptional opportunity with a leading hospitality management firm for an Audio Visual Sales and Engineering Manager role at expansive, adaptable venues. Utilize your proficiency in marketing A/V production services to corporate and social event clients, enhancing departmental revenue while playing a pivotal role in the leadership and execution of on-site A/V production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers during site assessments and final evaluations to propose production events and identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Oversee the inventory of in-house equipment.
  • Evaluate and authorize vendor proposals for equipment rentals and labor scheduling.
  • Work alongside property A/V Managers to strategize equipment arrangements for event productions.
  • Direct the setup, execution, and breakdown of various productions as required.
  • Devote approximately two-thirds of your time to sales and planning, with the remaining third focused on supervising event productions.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings regularly.
  • *The company reserves the right to adjust responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: An Associate's degree or some college experience is preferred, while a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience: Ideal candidates will possess 2-3 years of experience in event audio/visual sales, with additional skills as an audio engineer (A1) or video engineer (V1) being advantageous.
  • Expertise in live sound engineering for bands, corporate functions, and weddings.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven sales skills with an aptitude for recognizing upselling opportunities.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with digital mixing on an X32, video routing, and projection techniques.
  • Experience in stage lighting is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Keynote applications.
  • Ability to learn and operate video screens/projectors, manage stage lighting, and handle basic IT tasks.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting audio and video challenges.
  • General knowledge of equipment maintenance and repairs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Physical agility to squat, bend, work overhead, and manage ladders of various heights.
  • Capability to move quickly and work extended hours when necessary.
