Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Environmental Health and Safety to join our team at Sig Sauer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the company maintains a strong commitment to environmental health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to all departments and locations on EHS-related matters.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage and administer the company's workers' compensation program and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of emergency response plans and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Act as the company's Radiation Safety Officer and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees are aware of and understand EHS policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports related to EHS performance and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs and policies.
  • Strong technical expertise in EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear personal protective equipment as required. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the environment.
