Role Overview:
As a key member of our Silicon Technologies Group, you will engage in collaborative efforts across dynamic teams, focusing on design verification and analysis. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the success of every GPU integrated into Apple devices through our cutting-edge, high-performance, energy-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute designated tests on relevant emulation builds, troubleshoot issues, and provide status updates.
- Participate in system debugging by capturing waveforms and developing triggers.
- Design and implement builds for the emulation environment.
- Support the regular establishment of emulation model builds and resolve any build-related challenges.
- Connect emulation with virtual systems, simulation environments, and silicon validation processes.
- Utilize emulation capabilities to expedite silicon bring-up.
- Collaborate with vendor field service representatives to address emulation hardware and software challenges.
- Work alongside pre- and post-silicon validation teams to formulate and execute support strategies.
- Design and implement transactors linking software test benches with emulation hardware.
- Investigate and advance new technologies and methodologies to enhance emulation and hardware acceleration for innovative applications.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of CPU and/or GPU architecture and microarchitecture.
- Capability to write synthesizable HDL code.
- Experience in debugging hardware issues through waveform analysis.
- Programming proficiency in languages such as C, Perl, Ruby, Python, and System Verilog.
- Familiarity with DPI.
- Proven ability to construct emulation models, conduct tests on emulation platforms, and troubleshoot issues within a timeline-driven silicon design project with competing priorities.
- Competence in debugging emulation hardware, software, and silicon design challenges.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with vendor field service representatives to resolve emulation hardware and software issues.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience interfacing emulation hardware with virtual systems, simulation environments, and silicon validation.
- Knowledge of graphics, including the 3D graphics pipeline and OGL/OCL programming.
- General verification skills.
