EquipmentShare is on the lookout for a dedicated Category Manager for Compressed Air Products to enhance our corporate team. This role is pivotal as we expand our operations.

The Category Manager will oversee the procurement of Compressed Air Products and associated equipment for our growing rental inventory.

Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000

Key Responsibilities

As a Category Manager reporting to the VP of Fleet, you will manage a substantial annual budget for sourcing Compressed Air Products while optimizing our rental fleet in this crucial equipment sector. Your expertise in technical specifications and practical applications will be essential in ensuring EquipmentShare acquires top-quality products, delivering them efficiently while collaborating with service teams to enhance product uptime and return on investment.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Allocation: Collaborate with the VP of Fleet to formulate and execute a sourcing strategy for Compressed Air Products. This involves assessing market demands, predicting needs, and aligning procurement with corporate goals. Negotiate pricing and terms to secure advantageous agreements while fostering strong supplier relationships.
  • Order Management: Oversee all open orders for products, managing the distribution of new items to various locations and adjusting delivery schedules to optimize usage based on demand fluctuations.

Product Quality Assurance: Ensure that new products are delivered as specified, featuring appropriate branding and EquipmentShare's proprietary telematics. Handle investigations and resolutions for non-conforming products and manage new product qualifications.

Technical Expertise: Serve as the corporate product authority, providing support to sales and operations teams with your in-depth knowledge of field applications.Service Support and Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with the EquipmentShare service team and suppliers to maximize the operational uptime of our Compressed Air fleet. Continuously monitor product performance to identify improvement opportunities and optimize fleet efficiency.Lifecycle Management: Assist with retail opportunities as necessary. Work with the EquipmentShare business analysis team to implement lifecycle best practices, including end-of-life management and refurbishment where applicable.
