Job Overview

As a Service Operations Leader at United Rentals, you will spearhead a significant maintenance operation. This role provides the opportunity to recruit and inspire a talented group of Field Service Technicians. You will oversee all field repair and maintenance personnel, ensuring optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction through effective equipment management. Collaborating closely with the Branch Manager, you will contribute to the profitability of the location through your expertise in service and maintenance, as well as business management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, alongside customer and employee satisfaction within the field repair and maintenance team.
  • Manage the dispatch of field technicians across the entire Metro Area to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Service Managers to ensure service is scheduled and executed to provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • Inspire, mentor, and train technicians to surpass time and quality benchmarks while adhering to standard repair and maintenance protocols.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance, profit and loss, and associated budgeting.
  • Supervise parts department operations to guarantee superior customer service, technician productivity, and cost management.
  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability through effective leadership, personal compliance, and clear communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required; trade-school certification is advantageous; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Extensive experience in Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership.
  • A minimum of 5 years in service and maintenance roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Proficient understanding of maintenance accounting and profit and loss management.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
This position is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies and procedures.

Compensation Range:
$75,000 - $113,745.00
