Position: Lead Human Resources Specialist

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)

Pay Range: $90,000-120,000* annually

Schedule: Full-time

Reporting to: Head of Human Resources

Position Overview: The Lead Human Resources Specialist will be instrumental in collaborating with the Head of HR to formulate and execute HR strategies that resonate with the organization's core mission and objectives. This role will engage with various departments to provide impactful HR services that support the organization in fulfilling its vision and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and execution of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to secure high-caliber candidates.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee training and career advancement programs.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Work with the HR team to maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to enhance workplace relationships, boost morale, increase productivity, and improve employee retention.
  • Assist in managing compensation and equity programs, including bonuses and career progression pathways.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Preferred credentials: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Physical Requirements: The role necessitates regular activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing, and utilizing office equipment, along with verbal communication, auditory processing, visual observation, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment: The position is typically conducted in a climate-controlled office setting.

The stated compensation range represents the low and high end of the salary spectrum for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
