As a key member of our team, you will provide case management, resource navigation, and coaching services to families residing in Warren Village at Alameda campus. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents and contribute to the success of our Supportive Services program.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct outreach, assessments, and individualized support to potential residents during the pre-lease-up and lease-up phases.
- Provide case management, Mobility Mentoring coaching, and resource referral to residents as needed.
- Utilize trauma-sensitive coaching, a 2-generation orientation, and motivational interviewing and support in working with residents.
- Link residents with existing community resources and systems that provide them with support, services, and opportunities to assist them moving towards economic and personal self-sufficiency.
- Facilitate connections for residents to additional onsite programming.
- Maintain a strong sense of emotional intelligence, reliability, and flexibility to navigate complex issues at any given time without judgment.
- Assess crisis situations and apply de-escalation techniques as necessary.
- Provide coverage of front-desk responsibilities as necessary, ensuring seamless operations.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish languages, proficiently communicating verbally and in writing.
- Associate's degree (AA) from two-year college or technical school in Social Work, Human Services, or Education or a combination of education and work experience, with 2 years of work experience in a one or more of these fields for every year of education.
- Experience in case management and/or navigation services, direct homeless services or working with low-income families.
- Experience in managing crises effectively, particularly with adults.
- Ability to work regular evenings and weekend hours.
- Lived experience in homelessness or housing instability, including an alumni of Warren Village.
- Bachelor's (BA) degree or Master's (MA) degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field.
- Experience in Permanent Supportive Housing, Housing First, and Harm Reduction.
- Experience working with culturally diverse people.
- If driving is required, employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive Warren Village vehicles.
