The University of Florida Performing Arts is seeking part-time skilled event security personnel to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Facility and Event Security team, your duties will include:

  • Customer Engagement: Maintain a polite, professional demeanor while assisting customers and proactively resolving issues.
  • Incident Management: Respond to incidents in accordance with venue training.
  • Documentation: Prepare and distribute Shift Instructions, Post Orders, and other necessary documentation as directed by Supervisors.
  • Credential Management: Oversee the preparation and distribution of security credentials.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain Daily Rosters and Shift Logs.
  • Safety Patrols: Conduct regular safety and security patrols of the facilities.
  • Facility Inspections: Perform inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Access Control: Manage access to facilities, venues, and events.
  • Door Security: Control access through locks, combination keys, and cards.
  • Weapons Detection: Utilize Evolv scanners for weapons detection and inspections for prohibited items.
  • Crowd Control: Effectively manage crowds during events.
  • Artist Assistance: Provide escort services for artists as needed.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all instructions and policies as outlined by Supervisors.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates may be considered for advancement to Security Supervisor or Security Coordinator roles.

Salary Range:
$14.00 to $20.00, based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in crowd management and event security.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
