Job Title: System Development Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled System Development Engineer II to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software systems using Windows Server and its underlying technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and translate them into capabilities of the application.
  • Plan and implement system upgrades and patching activities to ensure the security and reliability of our systems.
  • Deploy new services and features to improve the overall system performance and user experience.
  • Establish security guidelines and best practices to ensure the security of our systems and data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience as a System Development Engineer or a related occupation.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and its underlying technologies, including Active Directory, DNS Management, and IIS Management.
  • Experience with systems patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong networking and network troubleshooting concepts, including Load Balancers, Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, Telnet, and tracert.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of security guidelines and best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
