About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at IIA Fire Department Testing in Portland, Maine.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $47,840/year, based on a 40-hour workweek and $23.00/hour rate. Meals and lodging will be covered when traveling out of state, and a $500 retention bonus will be paid after 60 days of successful employment.

This is a full-time general labor position that requires no previous experience. All training will be provided on-site. The typical week consists of 40+ hours (average of 50 hours/week), with occasional work days exceeding 12 hours.

In this role, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire equipment to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. This will involve:

  • Inspecting fire hoses and equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks
  • Documenting results and reporting any issues

To succeed in this role, you must have reliable transportation to work, pass a drug test and background check, and demonstrate hard work and dependability.
