Position Summary:
The NY Office Accounting team is in search of a Senior Property Financial Analyst to join our Paramus location. This role is pivotal in supporting the processes required for timely internal reporting, SEC compliance, Joint Venture financials, and lender reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger accounting for multiple properties.
- Analyze monthly budget versus actual reports and provide variance explanations.
- Prepare comprehensive quarterly and year-end supporting documentation.
- Conduct external financial reporting for joint ventures.
- Compile audited financial statements for joint venture partners and lenders.
- Ensure compliance with debt obligations and manage reserve draws.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee the generation of ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate information flow.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within the commercial real estate sector or a medium to large CPA firm.
