Job Summary:

As a key member of the Care Plus New Jersey team, the Lead Data Analyst will oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency's data reporting, serving as the lead report writer and data analyst. This role requires supervisory and project management experience, with a focus on database administration and data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analytics, health informatics, or a related field, with experience in positions involving database administration and data management. Additionally, two years of experience in supervising staff and project management post-degree are required. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct training and oversight to Clinical Informatics staff, utilizing SQL and scripting language to write, execute, and analyze datasets, and conducting studies to analyze complex data and prepare reports as requested. The Lead Data Analyst will also be responsible for analyzing and interpreting datasets, generating visual interpretations of datasets, and identifying trends and recommending improvements accordingly. This role requires excellent supervision and training, with opportunities for continuing education, tuition reimbursement, and eligibility for loan forgiveness. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct training and oversight to Clinical Informatics staff
  • Utilize SQL and scripting language to write, execute, and analyze datasets
  • Analyze and interpret datasets, generating visual interpretations of datasets
  • Conduct studies to analyze complex data and prepare reports as requested
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
  • Provide interpretation of operational policies, governmental legislation, or customer regulations
  • Analyze information to determine present and future performance
  • Evaluate complex operational plans, operating data, and financial statements to provide analysis and recommendations
  • Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as operations, forecasts, business plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, projections, and business forecasts
  • Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts
  • Make recommendations to management regarding cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding clinical and/or operational plans, growth opportunities, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts
  • Research and prepare data reports on the following, including, but not limited to, contract reporting, regulatory and operational compliance, outcome measures reporting, risk management, and achievement of the agency's goals and strategic priorities

Requirements:

  • BA in Computer Science, statistical analytics, health informatics, or other technology-related field from accredited college and/or university
  • Two years of experience in positions involving database administration and data management; myEvolv EMR experience preferred
  • Two years' experience supervising staff and project management post-degree
  • Healthcare experience preferred
