Position Summary

Overview:

The Culinary Services Coordinator will collaborate closely with the administrative team to facilitate the effective management of educational food programs. This role encompasses responsibilities such as overseeing nutrition documentation, aiding in meal distribution, mentoring volunteers, and ensuring adherence to program standards.

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee the daily meal distribution process while adhering to federal nutrition program guidelines
  • Distribute meals in compliance with food safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and guarantee appropriate storage of food supplies
  • Prepare, serve, and dismantle meal service operations on a daily basis
  • Participate in training sessions related to food service programs
  • Assist in the training of site volunteers
  • Maintain accurate records for program evaluations
  • Input program data into the management system
  • Carry out additional program-related tasks as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in using office technology and computer applications
  • Certification in Food Safety is mandatory
  • First Aid certification is essential
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Prior experience with nutrition programs and documentation is advantageous

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 30 lbs.

Work Setting:

The position involves a mix of independent responsibilities and teamwork with colleagues. It requires the capacity to manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
