Job Title: Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Crescent Services. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and soliciting past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are met or exceeded.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits which may involve bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching overhead.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce groups and convention business, to include room sales, food and beverage sales, catering/banquet services.
  • Attend on-site and off-site sales blitzes and hotel tours.
  • Attend outside networking functions such as luncheons, chamber events, or other community/business-based networking receptions.
  • Solicit new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints.
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
