Department Overview

Position Summary

This role entails providing both administrative and technical support within a cardiorenal research laboratory. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to research protocols and safety regulations, manage laboratory resources, and provide guidance to trainees and research personnel.

Additionally, the role involves data processing, presenting findings, and assisting the Principal Investigator with ongoing and future research initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate laboratory research activities and mentor research staff and students.
  • Manage administrative and technical arrangements for animal models and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct animal colony maintenance and perform surgical procedures as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of animal protocols.
  • Analyze complex data and prepare findings for future research development.
  • Oversee budgetary resources to ensure efficient lab operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal guidelines and institutional protocols.
  • Contribute to the writing and publication of research findings.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry is required, along with experience in research or clinical laboratory settings. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be considered.


Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail are required.
