Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide will assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, place prepared food on plates/trays following tray tickets, and ensure that quality food service is provided at all times. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service
  • Place prepared food on plates/trays following tray tickets
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays
  • Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and follow oral and written instructions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Specialized training in food service desirable
  • Current ServSafe certification required by State/County law
  • Food Handler's card required
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
