Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Services Manager oversees the administration, overall organization, and scheduling of all field service personnel at a designated service center, ensuring that A-C-T delivers safe and high-quality solutions to its clients. This role may require a balance between office duties and field activities based on project demands. The position reports directly to the Office Manager at the assigned Service Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicate job expectations to all members of the field service team, including Field Supervisors, Team Leads, CDL Drivers, Equipment Operators, and Technicians.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Jobsite Managers to ensure that workloads are executed efficiently according to project specifications, utilizing appropriate resources to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Assist in preparing project job packs as necessary.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between Project Managers and field teams to promote effective collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with A-C-T safety policies and USDOT regulations.
  • Document performance, attendance, and other issues to address them promptly and effectively.
  • Support Project Managers in identifying changes in the scope of work.
  • Manage staffing levels, hours, and utilization of the Field Service Team at the assigned service center.
  • Verify that all Raw Data from the previous day is accurate, legible, and meets A-C-T's quality standards, ensuring timely submission of paperwork.
  • Organize and maintain the scheduling system to align with project needs and staff availability.
  • Address customer concerns with the Office Manager and develop strategies to enhance the customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Field Operations Director and Office Manager to implement policies and procedures effectively.
  • Inform management of potential risks impacting project profitability, costs, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Conduct analyses to identify alternative actions or recovery plans for revised schedules.
  • Coordinate with the Fleet/Assets Department to ensure equipment is prepared and returned in accordance with A-C-T policies.
  • Ensure the successful execution of field projects from start to finish, confirming all necessary assets are available at project commencement.
  • Facilitate pre and post-project evaluation meetings with relevant personnel.
  • Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed as per Fleetio and Samsara requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Driver Compliance Administrative Assistant to maintain up-to-date DQ files.
  • Exemplify a Positive Attitude, Positive Contribution, and Positive Teamwork in all interactions.
  • Manage employee morale and performance, involving the Office Manager or Regional Field Services Manager as necessary.
  • Conduct Employee Evaluations in collaboration with Field Supervisors and the Office Manager.
  • Support the Company Vision, Mission, and objectives to drive desired outcomes.
  • Focus on fostering a positive team environment that encourages collaboration.
  • Uphold the ethical standards and values of the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Capable of fulfilling the outlined responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a 2-year college degree with 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the environmental sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role or at least 2 years as an A-C-T field supervisor or specialist.

  • Must pass an annual fit-for-duty physical examination.
