About the Role

The PGA Tour is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Tournament Operations to join our team. As a key member of our tournament management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our designated events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the creation and adherence to a comprehensive business plan for the event, ensuring alignment with the PGA Tour's overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with host clubs, local sponsors, media representatives, corporate partners, and community leaders to foster a positive impression and perception of the event.
  • Oversee and manage the operational requirements of the event, including construction timelines, vendor management, and security and traffic planning.
  • Develop and implement a portfolio of sellable assets for the event, including hospitality products and sponsorable items, to ensure maximum revenue potential.
  • Assume fiscal accountability for the success of the event and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tournament office and delegate tasks to team members as appropriate.
  • Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management, and internal communication.
  • Support other Championship Management events as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in sports, preferably in golf tournament management or event planning.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
  • Prior exposure to golf tournaments or sports event planning/operations is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
