Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Dermatology Solutions Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical providers in delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist medical providers with day-to-day delivery of healthcare services and patient care management.
  • Ensure accurate and complete patient information in the electronic health record.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including escorting them to the exam room and documenting their history.
  • Confer with medical providers regarding incomplete patient tests or other incomplete orders.
  • Respond to patient communications and questions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
  • Administer injections and assist with examinations and office procedures as needed.
  • Perform suture removals and other patient care services as directed by medical providers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient e-prescriptions.
  • Verify patient/specimen information and record tissue specimens in the log.
  • Triage and respond to patient communications in a timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduling tests and treatments, and processing referrals to other providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documents.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent and current certification.
  • One year of medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  • Maintenance of professional certification, if applicable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Work Environment

The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. The position requires the ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, and other members of the public on a regular basis.
