Overview

Concentra is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician.
  • Support registration and referral management as needed.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Perform rapid screening tests, assist providers during examination and treatment, and prepare and assist clinicians with procedure setup and injury care.
  • Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician, dispense medications and DME as ordered, and complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
  • Notify supervisors immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or the facility is not operating as expected.
  • Participate in patient flow and volume management, keep patients informed of expected wait times, and perform front office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking in/out, communicating wait times, and answering multi-line telephone systems.
Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical/Business School degree or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience, knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology, and working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements.

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic, communicate effectively, and maintain working relationships with colleagues.
