Your Role:
Imaging Services Technologist - Salem Health Imaging Department

The Imaging Department at Salem Health is situated within our Orthopedic Clinic, providing care primarily to outpatient orthopedic patients.

Key Responsibilities:


Utilize problem-solving abilities to make independent decisions, customizing imaging procedures based on the patient's condition and cooperation level.

Determine appropriate radiation exposure parameters based on the patient's body area, habitus, and overall condition.

Employ expertise to consistently capture diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of exams consistently.


Exhibit proficiency in operating imaging equipment by adhering to safe operating protocols as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year of experience in X-Ray preferred, but not mandatory.

Must obtain BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Must hold a license from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.


Must achieve or be eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within six (6) months of employment.
