Electronics Assembler Job Description

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team in Chandler, AZ. As an Electronics Assembler, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, working with little or no supervision to perform assigned assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned assembly tasks, including preparing components, cleaning, marking, and inspecting components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies.
  • Test finished assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery, observing proper health and safety procedures.
  • Train and mentor new employees and other team members in new processes, procedures, and Crane tools.
  • Prioritize daily demand per Master Schedule Report for the cell(s) you are working in.
  • Discuss and problem-solve quality issues with Manufacturing Engineers, the Quality group, and leadership.
  • Create work orders, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality and material issues, and First Article Inspections (FAIs) at In-process/End Item.
  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy, proactively identifying safety concerns or issues and working with the Engineering group to implement solutions.

Requirements:

  • 1-5+ years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good reading comprehension, and basic computer skills.
  • Able to accurately interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information, and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work well in a high-paced work environment in a high-volume setting.
