RN Clinical Coordinator Cardiac Full Time Days Position Summary

As a Cardiac Clinical Coordinator RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cardiac unit. You will assist the nurse manager/director in coordinating and directing patient care, unit activities, and staff activities and performance on an assigned shift. Your expertise and knowledge of the nursing process and professional standards of nursing will be essential in making assignments and interventions that meet the changing needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports, evaluates, prioritizes, and supervises patient care and unit needs during assigned shift.
- Makes assignments for staff to meet patient care needs and for incoming patients.
- Makes patient assignments and delegates unit-specific task assignments to ensure patient care and unit needs are met.
- Evaluates staffing by considering mix of caregivers, patient volumes (current and anticipated), patient acuity, and staff availability.
- Communicates effectively with team members and others during daily interactions.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License.
- Required in area of clinical specialty within 3 years from ANCC or other approved credentialing entity (i.e., critical care: CCRN).
- Ortho and Neuro experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required.
