About the Role

Wellington Management's Investment Strategy and Solutions Group (iStrat) is seeking a highly skilled Investment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fundamental Factor Platform (FFP) team, you will be responsible for managing customized portfolios across multi-asset, fundamental factors, and thematic approaches.

The FFP team manages over $3629B across proprietary factor, hedged, and extended strategies. Your primary focus will be to provide analytical leverage to the team and serve as a point of contact for internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing analyses related to portfolio positioning, performance, and risk
  • Contributing to the development of new investment strategies and client solutions
  • Creating and maintaining marketing and client materials
  • Reviewing RFPs and responding to client questions
  • Evaluating product overlap and capacity trends
  • Preparing white papers and presentation materials to differentiate our portfolios

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Meaningful relevant industry experience and a record of achievement
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to frame issues, identify important points, and draw conclusions
  • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented, strategic mindset
  • Solid judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to take a differentiated perspective
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings
  • Articulate with an interest in developing presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team
  • Strong technical skills, with mastery of MS Excel and familiarity with Factset
