Job Title: Mining Engineer

Job Summary:

The Mining Engineer will provide technical expertise to Barr's multidisciplinary project teams. This includes assisting mining clients with implementation and development sequencing, ore blending, overall mine technical reports, whittle optimization, development and operations scheduling, economic analysis, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to project teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mining, geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering or a related discipline
  • 15 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with mine modeling software
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20 years of related experience
  • Mine operations and/or development and planning experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) or Qualified Person (QP) certification

Work Environment:

This position can be based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; or Denver, Colorado, offices. The work may require short-term, out-of-town work assignments.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000/year. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
