If you thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environment, this full-time Scientist II position in Production Chemistry is an excellent fit for you. You will play a vital role in the synthesis and analysis of compounds, process optimization, and ensuring the highest quality production standards. Your efforts will significantly influence the development of Mirus Bio's products and support various organizational departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise to the Production Chemistry Team.
- Conduct the synthesis and analysis of compounds for Mirus Bio products utilizing advanced methodologies.
- Demonstrate leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement and effectively solving problems.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while adapting to shifting priorities.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with material procurement.
- Document all procedures meticulously and update protocols as required.
- Review external batch records and write deviations as necessary.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
- Communicate effectively across teams while upholding quality standards.
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines and foster a culture of compliance.
- Build strong internal and external relationships.
- Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the synthesis and characterization of organic or polymer compounds.
Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Technical: Proficiency in analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GPC, etc.
Environment: Experience in a life sciences organization and familiarity with cGMP preferred.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
