Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for batch processing, including abend resolution, rerun/restart, and consultation with On Call programmers and technical resources.

Assist in implementing permanent solutions and planning and coordinating with Operations support resources for new and modified production workloads.

Support Operations to remedy problems within production application cycles and analyze production processing procedures to develop improved methods.

Provide on-call coverage for assigned production applications as needed and review all new or revised application systems for acceptance into production status.

Coordinate system acceptance and migration of applications from test to production environment using configuration management tools and participate in new systems development relative to Operations standards, capabilities, and compatibilities.

Provide first-line technical support for operational software and develop and enforce policies, quality initiatives, standards, and procedures within the production environment.

Mentor staff on Operations support and possess human relation skills to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers.

Able to motivate individuals and teams and possess strong oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Sound decision-making and judgment skills and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
