Job Title: Director (Program) for Assessment, Planning, and Experiential Learning

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Administration, the Director of Student Affairs Assessment, Planning, and Experiential Learning coordinates assessment initiatives, provides support for strategic planning and accreditation compliance efforts, and advises various experiential learning efforts supported by the Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Division assessment initiatives and support Division strategic planning and accreditation compliance efforts.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and expertise in designing, implementing, and interpreting assessment projects related to student development, learning, and educational programming/services.
  • Supervise a Data Analyst and 1-2 graduate assistants (as needed).
  • Support development of the Division's strategic plan and assess the effectiveness of various strategic processes.
  • Provide oversight and reporting for division programs and services, including planning, data gathering, and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree with at least three (3) years of experience in assessment research emphasizing learning evaluation and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in experimental and survey design, data analysis, and statistical reporting are essential.
  • Solid analytic, writing, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize and present complex analysis of data to varied audiences and constituents.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate, or significant progress towards its completion.
  • Background in theory and practice in education, communication, social sciences, or related field.
  • Five (5) years or more of data analysis/statistics experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Data analysis/statistics experience.
  • Strong technological skills and/or the ability to learn various technologies.
  • Experience applying traditional statistical analyses in a research or program evaluation setting.
