Perioperative Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

Community Memorial Healthcare is seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and coordinating with other hospital disciplines to ensure seamless patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Coordinate patient care planning with other hospital disciplines, including anesthesia, surgery, and post-anesthesia care
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely patient preparation and recovery
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and report patient vital signs and other relevant data to the surgical team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Current CA Registered Nurse License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Minimum 6 months recent full-time operating room experience in an acute care hospital or the equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), Member of Association of Perioperative Nurses (AORN), Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
