Job Summary

This position reports to the Regional Ground Services Manager at Expeditors. The successful candidate will support the execution of the Ground Network Services (GNS) by managing daily truck operations and managing GNS shipments through the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain operating records for scheduled and ad hoc truck routes in Expeditors' systems.
  • Coordinate the recovery of cargo from Consolidated Freight Facilities (CFFs) or third-party locations for induction into the GNS.
  • Prepare and process paperwork for the transfer of freight within the network, including load manifests and bills of lading.
  • Manage system updates and ensure seamless integration with other logistics systems.
  • Receive and inspect network inbound and transfer freight as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Identify potential operational delays and capacity constraints in the ground network, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Assist in enacting contingencies to expand ad hoc capacity as needed, and arrange reroutes and additional trucks, as necessary.
  • Record system delays and perform root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support documentation and reporting, including processing consolidations in Expeditors' Transportation Management System (e.tms) and monitoring workflows.
  • Ensure that service provider equipment is in place at regional branches to facilitate operations.
  • Perform service provider reviews and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warehousing or freight terminal operations preferred.
  • Experience with Expeditors' operating systems and Microsoft Windows Office Suite.

Work Schedule

  • The schedule will be a Sunday – Thursday shift, Noon to 9PM.
  • This position will require some weekend and holiday availability.
  • This is a full-time position.
