Job Title: Youth Development Professional - Health & Wellness

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional - Health & Wellness to join our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.

Job Summary:

The Youth Development Professional - Health & Wellness will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating health and wellness programs for youth ages 6-18. This position will work closely with the Program Director/Unit Director to develop and implement programs that promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement health and wellness programs for youth, including fitness classes, nutrition education, and mental health workshops.
  • Recruit and retain youth for health and wellness programs.
  • Work with other staff to implement programs throughout the school year.
  • Track and report student data for grant purposes.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
  • Knowledge of youth development and health education.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues.
  • Ability to work with the public and plan quality programs.
Work Environment:

This position works Monday-Friday, 2PM-7PM, with occasional longer hours and weekends as needed. Work is conducted indoors and outdoors.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to hear at a normal conversational level.
  • Ability to maintain high energy level when necessary.
