Job Summary

As a Service Shop Technician at Walmart, you will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company equipment, including trailers, under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician. You will create and process work orders, assess maintenance and repair needs, and identify needed parts and possible solutions. You will also communicate with individuals or groups verbally and in writing, and complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company equipment, including trailers
  • Create and process work orders, assess maintenance and repair needs, and identify needed parts and possible solutions
  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and in writing, and complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling, monitoring tank levels before and after the drop, collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and completing appropriate paperwork
Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
