Key Responsibilities
  • Record patient information, including chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, and medications
  • Document physical exams, including pertinent positives and negatives, and patient general condition
  • Assist in the disposition of patients, including discharge instructions and admission orders
  • Ensure compliance with electronic health record requirements, including E/M coding and Meaningful Use criteria
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Terminology course or certificate required
  • Preferably at least one year of college in a Pre-Health Studies or administrative studies in a healthcare-related field
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field
Work Environment

As a Medical Scribe, you will work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, supporting our providers in emergency departments, urgent care centers, hospitals, and medical offices. You will be required to stand and move quickly for long periods of time, and frequent walking for short distances.
