Job Title: Category Manager I

At Federal Express Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager I to lead our category management strategies and drive business growth. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing holistic, enterprise-wide category management strategies that align with our company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute category management strategies that drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Lead internal projects and programs to implement category management strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and support senior staff and leadership.
  • Act with authority with suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum two (2) years work experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management, current technology tools, and database/analytical tools.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data analytics and optimization concepts.
  • Thorough understanding of optimization concepts, including scenario analysis, objective functions, and resource allocations.
