Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy department at Cape Regency Rehab. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the Rehab program.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards.
- Direct and assess the scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services, considering available treatment hours, staff resources, and overall plan of care.
- Participate in team meetings to formulate treatment plans, discuss progress, and discharge planning.
- Review therapist documentation practices for clarity, conciseness, and consistency with patient outcome goals and payor expectations.
- Maintain a clinical caseload as needed.
- Generate and analyze financial, operational, and productivity reports as required.
- Ensure that weekly and monthly statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs are accurate, complete, and reported in a timely manner.
- Supervise program staff in daily program operations and clinical activities, monitoring staff efficiencies and providing feedback.
- Initiate the coordination of program development activities with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and other department directors.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech/Language Pathology.
- Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions required.
- Two to four years of clinical experience required; one to two years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
