Waterbury Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year for this Registered Nurse position.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a Med./Surg. unit at Waterbury Hospital, where you will utilize the nursing process to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential problems. You will be accountable to patients, families, and peers for the quality of care provided.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring all needs are met, and demonstrate leadership skills to facilitate effective teamwork.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery or procedures, providing safe and efficient care.
  • Evaluate patient responses, reassessing and revising care plans as needed.
  • Implement physician orders, nursing interventions, and procedures, demonstrating skill and judgment necessary for patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care, integrating information for use by the healthcare team.
  • Promote effective working relationships and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
  • Intravenous therapy experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a time-oriented environment with exposure to all patient elements.
