Medical Office Nurse Professional

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Office, you will provide direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients, adhering to established standards and practices. Your role will involve assisting providers and staff in patient care coordination, functioning as a liaison between providers and physicians, and handling administrative and clinical duties with acute attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications, vaccinations, and treatments according to nursing standards.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observe, report, and record patients' conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Respond to emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program and current licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Maintain clinical competency required for the area of assignment, including Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably with computer scheduling systems such as Meditech and Ntierprise.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and comfort in a fast-paced confidential medical environment.
- Team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You can expect a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and benefits that include reliable transportation and opportunities for advancement within the ECHN organization.
