The Sustainability Manager plays a pivotal role in implementing and advancing Tulane University's sustainability goals and climate action plan. This position is a key liaison between the Office of Sustainability and various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement engaging sustainability programs and initiatives that foster a culture of sustainability across the university.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with colleagues, faculty, and students to develop and execute successful programs, improving environmental impacts and promoting sustainability.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze sustainability data for university reporting tasks, including AASHE STARS and annual greenhouse gas inventory.
- Communication and Outreach: Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote sustainability initiatives.
- Event and Volunteer Management: Plan and execute events, manage volunteers, and ensure successful execution of sustainability-related activities.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of related experience or High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 9 years of related experience.
- Skills: Excellent computer skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and experience working with diverse groups.
- Experience: Proven experience in sustainability, program development, and project management, with a strong understanding of environmental issues and sustainability principles.
